Floris den
Broeder

Coach, builder of Shift7 OS, recovering overthinker. From the Netherlands, now on the coast of Cádiz. Direct, warm, and allergic to guru theater.

Floris spent years as a communication strategist: good at the work, better at seeing patterns, and increasingly aware that the most interesting problem in every room was not the message. It was behavior. Smart people, himself included, who knew exactly what to do and kept not doing it.

So he did what the method now teaches. He stopped waiting for complete clarity and moved: from the Netherlands to Chiclana, from strategy decks to behavioral systems, from reflecting on the life he wanted to running experiments in it. Movement first, clarity after. It worked well enough that it became a methodology.

SHIFT7 is that methodology with a name: seven shifts that treat a person as a system rather than a collection of goals. It borrows honestly from behavioral science, trains like an athlete, and refuses the two default coaching modes, the mystical and the militant.

“Internal clarity is only valuable when it leads to external behavior.”

State management,
field-tested

This is Floris keeping a regulated nervous system while five children hold a board meeting on his head. No breathing app was involved. The point of all the systems talk is not optimization for its own sake; it is staying human, present and even funny while life happens at full volume.

He trains, he tracks his own streaks, he breaks them, he restarts fast. The method gets tested on its owner first.

The people

SHIFT7 is a company with people, not a logo with a funnel. The team is small and growing on purpose.

What he actually believes

People are systems, not willpower containers.

Responsibility is the capacity to choose your response.

The market gives better feedback than your head.

Not every decision must be permanent. Decide for 90 days.

Reflection can feel like progress while nothing outside you changes.

A system is only useful when it makes action simpler.

Go hard, laugh harder. If it isn't fun, it won't repeat.
